Deposit fee:

For all commission work that requires a finished sample, a design and test piece fee of minimum AED 600 will be charged prior to starting.

This amount depends on the size/complication of the work and half of it will be deducted from the final bill if the order goes through.

 

If you wish to customise one of my work with your specific dimensions or colour, the same deposit will be required prior to starting.

 

Once approved, 50% of the total amount should be paid for work to start, other 50% prior or on collection.

How I calculate my prices:

Prices are a combination of the amount of material used (clay, glaze, and other supplies & utilities) and the time I spend on each piece, based on my expertise and knowledge gathered on the many years I’ve spent learning and improving my skills.

 

Commission work is more expensive as it requires me to work with specifications from the client. (Clay shrinks between 10-12%in the different stages and this must be calculated when precise specs are required).

 

Discounts can only be applied on work I have in stock.

 

Larger orders, over 10 pieces, require more work and therefore are usually taking more time and can cost more.

This is the main difference between handmade and machine mass produced items. My work will speak to you if you care how it has been made.

 

Each piece is truly unique with sometimes light differences in applications of glaze and slight variations in size.
